SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs selected guard Stephon Castle at No. 4 in the 2024 NBA Draft, and the fanbase generally approved the pick.
However, the night turned ugly on social media once it was announced the team traded Rob Dillingham after selecting him at No. 8. During the draft, the Spurs completed a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, acquiring the right to swap first-round picks with Minnesota in the 2030 NBA Draft and Minnesota’s 2031 first-round pick in exchange for the draft rights to Dillingham. Many fans believed the team had gotten itself a scoring guard it could use immediately and help push the rebuild forward faster.
I’m so disappointed…. My son will only be 17 when the pick matures in 2031. Not eligible for that 1st round pick by the Spurs. 😂😂😂😂I don't see anything overwhelming that B.W. has done to impact this Spurs roster since he took over. Minus Wemby show me picks and trades that have impacted the team other than tanking and trading for future draft picks that haven't materialized yet.Don’t blame them it’s an awful trade.
