DFX Labs has received AML clearance from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, bringing it closer to a full crypto trading license. The platform is not yet authorized for trading services.

While not yet permitted to trade, DFX Labs is deemed licensed for virtual asset services by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong.

Public records maintained by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong show that DFX Labs is “deemed to be licensed for providing the virtual asset service.”However, while DFX Labs holds an active AMLO license, the platform is not yet permitted to offer crypto trading services. The record stated:

Speaking at the event, Toronto ETO director Emily Mo underscored existing startup-friendly regulations, such as lower taxes than in Canada and Hong Kong’s willingness to work with “pre-commercial specialist technology companies.” She added:
