Workplace-messaging service Slack Technologies said its revenue increased by more than 80 percent in the fiscal year to Jan. 31 compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $400.6 million according to a draft prospectus filed on April 26. The company is planning a direct listing on the New York Stock Exchange.
Its net loss was largely flat in that same period at $140.7 million, while operating expenses grew by about 50 percent to $503.5 million. Slack said it had 10 million global daily active users in the three months to Jan. 31. The number of paying customers increased by almost 50 percent to 88,000 year-on-year at the end of January.
