Collecting resources is a major part of Helldivers 2 as these can be used to unlock new Stratagems, Ship Modules, and the latest Warbond to unlock weapons, armor, and other items. To unlock Ship Modules, players need to collect Samples in missions, but some of these only become available during higher difficult missions, which can make them difficult to acquire if the player is lower skilled.
Having the ability to exchange Common or Rare Samples for Super Samples would make the higher level Ship Modules more accessible to all players. But, it can also go the other way as some higher skilled players are finding that they don’t have enough Rare Samples to unlock the new upgrades, with u/xxInsanex saying “Funny thing about samples when you start playing the harder difficulties rares become the biggest bottleneck.
