The Eagles were busy making trades in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, obtaining picks to use in 2025.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman did a good job of maneuvering around the draft board, even including 2024 draft picks in some of the trade made during the 2023 NFL Draft., holding seven picks in rounds four through six. The team was primed to make their selection of the day, the 120th pick overall in the fourth draft. However, they decided to kick the can down the road, making two trades to obtain future draft picks.

When the Eagles were back on the clock again at 123, they made another trade with the Houston Texans, this time moving back four spots to 127, getting a 2025 fifth-round pick in the deal. The Texans used the pick to select Ohio State Cade Stover. After bouncing around, they used the 127th pick to take Clemson running back Will Shipley.

The biggest haul came when they made a deal with the Detroit Lions, sending their final fourth-round pick and their 2024 sixth-round pick to obtain a 2024 fifth-round pick , a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 fourth-round pick, a selection they recouped from the Swift trade.Heading into the draft, the Eagles received four compensatory picks to use: A third-round pick, two in the fifth round, and a sixth-round selection. This gave them the flexibility to maneuver up and down the draft board.

The picks will allow Roseman to do what he is doing this year, moving up and down the draft board to get the players they want.
