The CEO of Square and Twitter is convinced that cryptocurrency has a bright future

Ask Square Inc. CEO Jack Dorsey what he’s most excited to talk about when it comes to online payments, and he immediately brings up Bitcoin.

Square is probably still best known for the little white square-shaped card reader that plugged in to the headphone jack of smartphones and tablets — the sort of thing you might have used at a farmer’s market. Square’s Cash App also enables quick peer-to-peer payments along with the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin.

Payments are a hot trend in Silicon Valley these days, with non-traditional players getting increasingly involved.
