Crypto exchange Bitfinex holds bitcoin on its balance sheet, a source with direct knowledge of the matter told The Block.

Bitfinex has historically kept part of its trading fee earnings in bitcoin as a long-term commitment to the world's first and largest cryptocurrency, the source said, declining to comment on absolute figures.Sunday that crypto exchanges that have"hugely benefitted" from bitcoin should have a policy to reinvest part of the profits into bitcoin.
