The first time creditors met in downtown Toronto looking to recover their investments from an extravagant living “investment prodigy” and self-proclaimed “Crypto King” — still just 23 years old — they picked five “inspectors” to monitor the process.
At a closed-door meeting last August, those inspectors discussed pursuing criminal charges against Aiden Pleterski, along with concerns “that someone will harm Pleterski; or that Pleterski will harm himself,” according to a report prepared by Grant Thornton, the firm appointed as the bankruptcy trustee and host of the meeting.
