He assured his former team is “in great hands” with Don Maloney as president of hockey operations and added he wishes Craig Conroy “all the success in the world as he takes over the manager job.”

”I get close to the people I work with,” Treliving continued. “I believe that you don’t manage these days — some do, some may — from an office up in the building. You manage with the people. You’re shoulder-to-shoulder with the people. And the group there , the players, the staff, I’m close with to this day and will be for the rest of our lives.
