Several fake Facebook accounts have popped up since Scott Gurney came forward to claim his $55\u002Dmillion lottery prize. Find out more.

It is not clear how the scammer or scammers persuaded people to send Bitcoin.

Scott Gurney of Sidney picked up his $55-million cheque on Tuesday, April 4, after winning the Feb. 28 Lotto Max draw.On some pages, the impostor offers to give money to people. One fake page said, “I will be helping 20 families with 30k each.” He said his clients have been wonderful to him. “A lot of them have become friends over the years. So you’d never throw a friend out in the cold.”

“I’ve seen a lot of stuff,” he said. “You kind of have a duty to take your time and carefully analyze what you need to do.”

again is being super vague. Mr.Gurney is NOT commenting on crypto or the crypto industry. He's saying people are pulling crypto scams using his name and image. He has no part of it.
