abc.net.au/news/hundreds-real-estate-agents-breach-new-nsw-rent-bidding-rules/102051826Hundreds of NSW real estate agents have been issued warnings for breaching new rent bidding rules and Fair Trading officials will now start attending open houses to stamp out illegal activity.

The complainants reported listings where agents advertising within a certain price range, or without a price at all. Online searches show many listings which break the rules by advertising rent as a range or advising applicants to "contact agent" instead of showing a fixed price. The ABC found examples of this on listings for Leichhardt, Seven Hills, Meadowbank, Wentworth Point and Blacktown.

Dirtiest pricks in town 💩💩💩💩

Wow, someone taking on the Real Estate industry. Wonders will never cease.

Grubs. This is really bad practice. Thanks for covering, abc...

What a surprise!

oh nice, I'll need to contest my speeding fine and ask why I wasn't given 'notice' before being fined?

Hooray!

Real estate agents are the lowest form of life.

Another beat up of the monstrous land lords. They try to make out like it's our fault that we are paying more & more for mortgages. We are not to blame for all the rate rises. As a matter of fact it is very hard to service the debt on an investment property & if investors start..

Ooooh, 'on notice'. I'm sure they're terrified.

Used to live in that house they walking into.

Country with no government, learn from Germany.

Ha. Fancy that. Evil pricks.

Should be an instant fine when there is hard evidence, along with a warning that the next one will be loss of license.

Shouldn’t be given notice - take their licences straight off them. Problem will stop overnight.

25 years ago, real estate agents started telling buyers, that they could just link the rent to their repayments...... and it's been that way since,,,,, So guess what peeps..... rent has a long long long way to go up yet.

What are they going to do? Tax them appropriately? I didn't think so
