New Forests’ director of investment Jens Petersen is the buyer behind the $9.75 million sale of a Seaforth Crescent luxury home complete with distinctive blue boathouse overlooking Sydney Harbour’s Powder Hulk Bay, according to settlement documents.

The Warringah Road home features a heated swimming pool, gym and panoramic views due north across Middle Harbour.Meanwhile, the nearby four-bedroom Mosman trophy home of Ashurst mergers and acquisitions lawyer Mark Stanbridge sold to an upper north-shore family within the $9-$9.5 million guide through The Agency’s Shane Slater, who declined to divulge the exact price.

Ms Mahony and her late husband Alan Kittle bought the property in 2014 for $6.5 million and have extensively restored the 1895-built home Brookfield, named after the County Cork region of Ireland, where the original inhabitants – an Irish sea captain’s widow and her six children – hailed from.The Balmain East waterfront on Simmons Street has potential for a second waterfront dwelling.
