KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 ― Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session higher due to continuous bargain-hunting in selected heavyweights, amidst stronger regional market performance, a dealer said.
On the broader market, gainers led losers 457 to 335, while 381 counters were unchanged, 1,106 untraded and 13 others suspended. Turnover stood at 1.34 billion units worth RM823.57 million. Meanwhile, it said market conditions should turn calmer following the conclusion of the United States Federal Open Market Committee meeting, which saw an interest rate hike that was within market expectations.
