The 'Bitcoin Family' immigrates to Portugal for its 0% tax on cryptocurrencies

Moving to Portugal for the tax-free crypto life isn't so simple for Americans.

After a few months traveling through Europe during the early days of the Covid pandemic, he ultimately settled down in Portugal. Deley is in Lagos, which is located in the southwest tip of Portugal. He says that he found a villa available as a long-term rental which was "very cheap," and that was enough to establish residency.

Deley doesn't speak Portuguese, but he says that's not a problem, because everyone speaks English. He is also surrounded by a lot of like-minded crypto investors.Deley believes the crypto investor migration is good for Portugal, too.

I will say it again. Developing countries are missing an opportunity. Instead of taxing crypto like India is doing by 30%, try and rather attract new money into the economy like Portugal.
