Will 2022 be the year that cryptocurrencies falter? Or will these parallel currencies, “private money” issued by private tech platforms, continue to fascinate? Whatever cryptocurrencies are, they are patently not money. Money needs to be a store of value, widely used and accepted, in order to buy and sell stuff. It must have some reasonably stable relationship with the value of everything else in the economy.
OpEd There are a lot of scams out there, adverts using celebs to endorse, people need to be wary.

OpEd It's as real as the memories of the 2008 Banking collapse and recession. C.D.Os, Junk mortgages, etc. That's what gave birth to crypto currencies, loss of trust in the Wall St. Banking system. They were criminal. No justice was done.

OpEd But the US printing dollars like it going out of fashion is real. About 20 percent of all US dollars were created in 2020. Almost all cryptos are finite!

What is real money, gold is all. The fake money we use everyday is no different than crypto

Our 'Money' is only paper,the coins are worth something but the notes are not backed by gold. Its all a scam as is Crypto currency. Nothing physical to back it's value.
Real money is not real money, it is no longer a yard stick to measure anything. Perspective and subjectivity now gives money its value.
