Sen. Richard Burr , who is under federal investigation for potentially illegal stock trading related to the coronavirus, will be stepping down from his chairmanship of the Senate Intelligence Committee as that probe continues, confirmed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Thursday.
